Environmental enhancements add to the impactDouble platinum selling band Opshop’s music video clip ‘One Day’, directed by Bunker Media’s Luke Sharpe, features a duet between front man Jason Kerison and guest vocalist Dianne Swann (The Bads).
The listening public was first introduced to ‘One Day’ when the track featured in a brand advertisement for New Zealand Post. Television exposure and the subsequent demand generated at radio meant the song spent more than 29 weeks in the national singles chart.
The singled helped catapult the ‘2007 New Zealand Music Awards People’s Choice’ winners to the number one spot in the album charts.
‘Second Hand Planet’, Opshop’s sophomore release, was produced by UK based Greg Haver, whose impressive list of credits include Manic Street Preachers, Super Furry Animals and Catatoni.
Shot on film in a studio in Auckland City, the pictures were transferred and graded at Digipost by senior colourist Pete Williams.
Digipost digital artist Matt Westbrooke added set extensions and 2D effects in Inferno, including sky and lightning and several other subtle environmental enhancements.
Williams added the finishing touches in the Spirit suite.
