Wishlist

Internationally acclaimed director Gregor Nicholas hits the jackpot with a heart-warmingly funny piece from the team at DDB Auckland

synopsis

We follow a man as he rummages through his garage to find an old but important piece of paper – his boyhood wishlist – and flash back to the 70s where we witness the events that inspired him to write it all those years ago.

His life has changed for the better, having married his childhood sweetheart, plucky red-head Holly Lewis, and now having won Lotto, he proceeds to cross the remaining items off his crumpled list.

who

The skilful and experienced eye of DoP John Toon delivered wholly authentic pictures, which were edited in offline by Dave Coulsen.

Post production was taken care of by Digipost, with lead visual effects artist by Stu Bedford taking care of Flame work and the grade expertly handled by senior colourist Dave Gibson.

how

The spot features current day scenes mixed with flash-backs that have been graded to carry the nostalgic look and feel of 1970s footage.

Strong set design and colourful wardrobe underpin convincing performances from a fitting cast.

Nicholas stitched these elements together in trade-mark style, delivering an endearing and entertaining result.
