The visual effects were created from scratch, and were to be produced as an interactive animation that would reward the viewer for participation.
Digipost Senior Designer Glen Atkins developed the look in After Effects, working closely with DDB’s creative minds Dave Brady, Christie Cooper and James Conner. The Digipost 3D team built the 3D elements required for each animation.
Senior Inferno artist Stu Bedford would then begin work on the animation within Inferno’s stereoscopic environment, allowing DDB to come in and make changes in real-time whilst viewing the work on stereoscopic monitors.
Digipost sound designers Clive Broughton and Adam Iles recorded the voice over talent and crafted a fitting atmospheric sound track.
Cadbury New Zealand viewed the finished work in Digipost’s in-house cinema, before the animations were passed over to the team at DDB to integrate into their purpose built installation.
