Digipost has been winning new business in Asia, spurred on by strong demand for film post production, and helped by a mutually beneficial collaboration with multi-award winning advertising photographer, Mat Baker.

The two Auckland-based companies have worked together on several sizable projects out of China and Singapore, with Digipost providing VFX and post services and Baker shooting stills for the campaigns.

“Asia is an important region for us,” says Digipost GM, Stephen Douglas. “Demand for New Zealand creativity is high, especially in China. Having the option to collaborate means we can often present a unique proposition to the market.”

“Because we’re both targeting high-end opportunities,” adds Baker, “we often find ourselves in the market at the same time, talking to the same people.  By working together on certain bids, we can offer a stronger package to the client, guaranteeing the same high quality results but with less risk than our competitors.

The charismatic Baker, whose work is as creatively edgy as his sense of humour, has worked with Digipost on several projects in New Zealand, including providing photography for Digipost’s own brand collateral and website.
