A busy year at Digipost has seen yet another large US long-form project through the Auckland based company’s door. 

Fantasy drama television series ‘Legend of the Seeker’ premiered in the US on November 1 topping the ratings in its category. The highly-anticipated show, shot in Aotearoa New Zealand, is an adaptation of international best-selling author Terry Goodkind’s ‘Sword of Truth’ book series. 

Producers of the 22-episode live-action series include Sam Raimi and Robert Tapert, creators of the 1990s phenomenons ‘Xena: Warrior Princess’ and ’Hercules: The Legendary Journeys’.

Digipost is the prime visual effects vendor for the series, delivering a range of high-end services as well as providing a base for the post production team and editorial suites within their Epsom based post-facility.

Shot on a combination of Genesis and 35mm, Digipost is taking care of transfer and grading of rushes and are delivering a large portion of the VFX shots across all episodes.  ADR is being completed in Digipost’s Dolby® capable audio suites.

The project is being posted totally in High Definition with online, colour grading, and final HD deliveries all being handled by Digipost’s long-form specialist team.
